Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, I migrated to Southern California in 1976 and love the climate, cultural diversity and dynamic pulse of urban living in Los Angeles. This is, in great part, an extension of my love of world travel and my fortunate experiences of the different peoples and cultures that comprise our world’s citizenry. Educated classically and in the liberal arts tradition with degrees in both History and Political Science from the University of Southern California, I focus on problem definition and problem solving as a generalist.  I have served in local government as a planning deputy for a Los Angeles City Council person, founded and ran a non-profit educational company, written and produced simulation games, and founded and ran Planning Company Associates, Inc, a land use/transportation consulting firm for 25 years. At pointC, my focus is on nurturing and growing the creativity and energy of our team to help our clients and the communities where we work realize sustainable solutions through holistic thinking.
